Kyiv, Ukraine – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that Russian leader Vladimir Putin fears the United States, citing a noticeable halt in intense bombardments following the arrival of General Kellogg in Ukraine.
In an interview with Newsmax, Zelenskyy highlighted a peculiar pattern: "General Kellogg arrived, and for two nights in a row, there were no massive bombardments. This is a very interesting example. There were no strong attacks that night or the previous night." He added that people had even begun to joke, suggesting they should give Kellogg a Ukrainian passport and keep him in the country, and allow more Americans to visit.
Zelenskyy interpreted this cessation of heavy attacks as a clear sign that Putin avoids bombing civilians when Americans are present. He further stated, "What does this mean? That Putin bombs civilians, but when Americans are here, he does not do it." He concluded that this demonstrates Putin's fear of the United States.
