A remarkable archaeological discovery has recently captured the attention of scientists and historians: a 2,400-year-old ancient city has reemerged from beneath the waters of a reservoir in southeastern Turkey. Some of the uncovered remains date as far back as the 5th century BC, highlighting the area’s long-standing importance. The presence of agricultural land nearby suggests that the settlement relied heavily on farming, while its religious and civic buildings point to a well-organized community.
